Remembrance Day

Nov 11, 2016

A brief caption about the image.

Today we take the time to remember all of the men and women who died for our freedom, fighting in war. There are so many who helped serve our country in these dark times. Of course we have our fallen soldiers who fought on land, ocean and in the air, but we also have men and women who served from home or overseas taking care of our wounded soldiers shortly after they were hurt or when they were sent home since they could no longer fight. We have men and women who worked in factories to send goods overseas to the soldiers. So many different roles were done to ensure that we no longer had to live that way and live with the freedom we have today.

ebony_poppyEvery November, we wear a Poppy with extreme gratitude for everything that was done for us. Along with wearing a poppy, some of us have family members who served time in the war and left behind memorabilia to display in the home during these times of remembrance. Some of us don’t have any memorabilia left behind, so we have ceramics with poppies in our homes as a visual reminder.

No matter how you choose to remember our courageous and strong men and women, take some time to reflect today on the amazing courage all of these men and women had for us. Lest We Forget.
