In honour of April’s National Autism Awareness Month, Ontario Crock A Doodle studios have teamed up with Autism Ontario to host a creative FUNdraiser called “Dish It Up for Autism”. It’s a colourful way to support this important community agency.  

From April 19th-30th, at participating studios, purchase a “Dish It Up” kit, with the choice of a plate, mug, or bowl, and  support Autism Ontario! Kits come with paints and brushes, plus your pottery piece….everything that you need to create a masterpiece at home.  Return it to the studio and it will glazed and kiln fired to a shiny, durable, forever finish. Not only will you have an awesome keepsake, but you will have helped make a difference.   

1 in 66 children and youth are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Approximately 1-2% of the Canadian population live on the spectrum (according to the Canadian Medical Association Journal).  That means that in Ontario there are approximately 135,000 people who have Autism.  These individuals require various levels of support throughout their lives. Autism Ontario helps support these individuals and their families as they grow and develop.
