Here at Crock A Doodle, we are all about the “buzz” and word on the street is Pokemon is back in full-force! It isn’t exactly the trading card type of scene some of us used to do as kids ourselves, but surely enough, this new generation is getting a taste of the electronic version of it all. Nintendo Gameboy – remember those? We are also all about interaction and although we love to not use our technology during interactions with others, “Pokemon Go” allows kids to go outside of their homes and connect with other kids in the neighbourhood to collect all of the Pokemon they can possibly catch and battle at the “gyms”. If you can’t seem to get your child pulled away from their phone and that is all they want to do to level up, come see us at your local Crock A Doodle! We have tons of great ideas when it comes to painting Pokemon related pieces.

One neat idea would be to paint their favourite Pokemon on a tile. Worried you or they can’t draw their Pokemon properly? Not to worry! We will print out a picture of the Pokemon and stencil it out for you to draw onto the pottery. Fun fact: Sharpie and pencil both burn off in the kiln, so you can use either one to make any designs onto your piece whenever you come in to visit us!

Another neat idea would be making a Pokeball on a round bisquie which you can always find around our shelves! The best part is, you don’t have to stick to just one side! Paint a regular Pokeball on one side and make the other side your own! You can also always make a Pokeball on a handi plate or a bowl, too! The possibilities are endless.
