Therapy Through Art
Jul 20, 2016
In our hectic, everyday lives, it is important to find time to unwind and relax. We all spend so much time on our phones, tablets and computers that we forget that we truly need to take the time to care for ourselves and allow ourselves to not worry about the different stresses in life. There have been quite a few studies done to show that art is incredibly therapeutic and helps us tremendously in terms of our mental well-being. Painting a piece of art can help relieve stress and allows people to make a creation that they can be proud of and look at for positive affirmation or to help them reflect on any part of their life they may be growing from. Art is a great way to express yourself when words just can’t seem to do the trick.
At Crock A Doodle, there is studio space and even party rooms where groups are welcome to book time slots for. It is the perfect place to unwind and relax. If you have an art therapy group or just a group of friends/family that you would like to bring in to have a couple of hours of painting, your local Crock A Doodle would love to be a part of those relaxing moments! Remember, you don’t need to be Leonardo da Vinci to make a work of art – there is no wrong way to do art!
