Timeout Tuesday: Teacher Appreciation Gift Making

We are SO excited to welcome painters back into our studio! And we are SO excited to offer drop-off events for our young painters (ages 7-12), in a new format, with everything set to meet the province’s current COVID-19 guidelines.

In June, our Timeout Tuesday is designed to give kids some time out: out of the house, away from the screen and online learning to to do something creative. And it’s designed to give parents some time out too!

Our second Timeout Tuesday in June is all about teachers. Let’s face it, they deserve more appreciation than ever this year!

Our paint project will be a thank you gift for teacher (choice of small flower pot, bud vase or pear shaped vase.) We’ll do a craft and play some games too, all in our safe and sanitized environment. (We are not open for any other in-studio painting of any kind Sunday through Tuesday, so the studio will be thoroughly cleaned in advance, with no new foot traffic.)

To meet physical distancing and safety guidelines, our events will be capped at a maximum capacity of six (6) painters and one instructor (who will wear a mask.) (Pending interest, we’ll offer a morning class too.)

Each painter will have a designated table for the duration of the event, with two metre social distancing measures in place. Each table will have its own paint brushes, paints and other craft supplies that are relevant for that week’s event.

Please note, to abide by COVID-19 distancing guidelines in our small studio space, parents or other guests will not be allowed in the studio during the event hours. All pick-ups and drop-offs will happen at the front (Bow Valley Trail-side) entrance.
